Philosophy of Care
Our staff are appropriately qualified to deliver the highest possible standards of quality of care and a continuous training programme is in place to ensure these high standards are maintained
All our new recruits enjoy the benefit of a full induction and mentor ship programme and staff are recruited for values with the emphasis on retention. Ancillary staff include kitchen and housekeeping and a full time maintenance man and the home is supported by our administration staff
The following core values are fundamental to the philosophy of our home
In addition to the home manager ( Louise Jacox ) there is a team of registered general and Mental health nurses all of whom have extensive knowledge and experience in the care of frail elderly and people with dementia
Our trained nurses are supported by a team of health care support workers and training is positively encouraged within our home in order to continually move forward and improve the quality of care that we provide for our residents. We have our own designated training and meeting room to facilitate this.
Our Kitchen staff all have up to date Food Hygience Certification with some staff also completing an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Nutrition and Health. Our Housekeepers all hold an NVQ in Housekeeping and our Laundress holds a NCFE Level 2 in Infection Control
